Adoption Update:

09/23 - The babies finally arrived late Saturday night! It must have been a busy day because we didn't receive any updates until late Saturday night.

Clyde found his furever home on Sunday and Bonnie was taken in a trial adoption HOORAY!!!

I will miss you babies!!!

I modified John Denver’s “Leaving on a Jet Plane” to honor my babies leaving this morning.
My treat bags are packed I'm ready to go I'm standin' here outside your door I hate to see you sad when I say goodbye But time is ticking and time to load Love on Wheels is waiting, he's blowin' his horn Already I'm so lonesome I could die So kiss me and smile for me Tell me that you'll remember me Hold me like you'll never let me go Cause I'm leavin' to find my forever home Don't know that I’ll be back again Oh mommy - I hate to go There's so many times I've let you down Knocked over drinks too much messing around I tell you now, I’m sorry I caused a stink Every place I go, I'll think of you Every cuddle I give, I’ll think of you Because I know what you did for me saved my life So kiss me and smile for me Tell me that you'll remember me Hold me like you'll never let me go Cause I'm leavin' to find my forever home Don't know that I’ll be back again Oh mommy - I hate to go Now the time has come to leave you One more time let me kiss you Close your eyes I'll be on my way Dream about the days to come When I won't have to be alone So kiss me and smile for me Tell me that you'll remember me Hold me like you'll never let me go Cause I'm leavin' to find my forever home Don't know that I’ll be back again Oh mommy - I hate to go

Week 2 - September 15th 2013
It is our last day with Bonnie and Clyde - We have tried to spoil them as much as we could today. They watched football with us and I made them homemade dog biscuits. I took them into the studio for a few last photos, but they were pretty tired of pictures :) They have both been such good babies. I can't wait to hear about them finding new homes. Bonnie loves to play but also loves to be right by your side. Clyde is all boy and loves a good tumble. Although my dogs would play would them, it wasn't like how Bonnie and Clyde would mix it up. They would wrestle and play all the time. What sweet babies!

Week 2 - September 11th 2013
I can't believe how quickly time is winding down with these guys. They have filled our home with so much good energy. Clyde has such a sweet heart, but he forgets sometimes he is such a beast! He is so strong without trying, but this guy would never hurt a fly. He has the most striking looks! He really needs a home that is willing to spend time and energy to keep him from getting bored. He gets along so well with Bonnie.

Although Bonnie loves to play ball and run/jump, she doesn't have quiet the force behind her. She does things a little more quietly and her size helps keep her in check. She gets along so great with all the dogs and has the best disposition. I honestly could see her fitting in any home! She has the cutest little white V shaped mark on her nose too. I get sad thinking about her sweet kisses going away!

Week 2 - September 10th 2013
This weekend both of our sweet fosters had their spay/neuter surgery. They seemed to do well after their surgery, but it has been a challenge to try to keep them quiet.... They have been just as active as usual and the medication wore off so quickly! Poor Clyde has to run around the house with his cone on his head! He is running into everything and causing havoc since he knocks over everything. I can't believe they will be leaving us so soon! They are so good now about sitting very good for treats! They sure do love chicken and steak! I have been able to get a few more pictures of Clyde and hope to get one last round this weekend before they have to leave us.

Week 2 - September 7th 2013

Bonnie and Clyde are both such good dogs. They do well in a crate while we are at work and seem to be pretty house trained. Clyde had one accident because we left him inside too long, but the great news is that he has done NO marking like my other two boys. They both eat pretty well and have NO food aggression. You can take a treat or toy from them with no problem. They really do get along well together so it would be fantastic if they could stay together. I was a little surprised that Clyde does better on a leash than Bonnie, but both could use a little more work. They just pull when they are on the leash and you have to be careful with Bonnie since her little head is so small she doesn't wiggle out of it.

Clyde rides really well in the car when he is up front with his on seat. Bonnie is a little more active in the car, but she is so small, it isn't that difficult to deal with. We took them both to Lowes last night. They had a good time. They LOVE people. Very friendly with Kids, adults, and any stranger. They never barked just got really excited over the attention. Of course, Everyone was excited to see Bonnie and Clyde!

Bonnie has gotten good about going in her crate although Clyde is more hesitant. He will go in, but he has to be led in the crate. I think both of these guys will make such a great addition to a family!

Day 8 - September 3rd 2013

These kiddos earned their name today. This morning Clyde LOCKED ME OUT OF MY OWN HOUSE! How... you might ask? Well - since he does not like to go out much, I usually step outside with them and wait for him to come and scratch at the door. This morning he was already out but I needed to get one of my dogs out.... so as soon as the door opened he darted back in. I walked out and shut the door waiting for him to want to come back out. Instead he jumped on the door and must have hit the handle just right because CLICK - I can't get back in! He has locked the door! Unfortunately I have a lock on my gate as well and it is locked from the outside. SIGH.... I got to hang out in the yard with all my dogs with him inside crying until I finally got a neighbor's attention. Thank goodness I have a garage keypad. Clyde - YOU are grounded :) LOL

Day 7 - September 2nd 2013

We had a good weekend with Bonnie and Clyde. I found out a little back story with these kiddos. They were left in the back yard to fend for themselves when the owners moved. WHAT rotten people. Thankfully the neighbors fed them for two weeks and then finally took them to the shelter. Luckily for them, they qualified for LOW so here they are with me. I would love if they get adopted together. They get along very well and so cute together. Both of them seem nervous when you try to get them to go outside and I am sure that is because of their previous owners. Bonnie hasn't had any accidents in the crate or outside and Clyde only had one in the living room. I think this is because he was inside playing too long and excited. Clyde barks and is certainly more rambunctious that Bonnie. They both tolerate crates well, but they do whine some and Clyde will bark when he wants out. Although neither really want to go in them, they can usually be coaxed with a treat.

Clyde loves swimming and is decent on a leash. He is such a sweet, but strong boy, he can pull some. We swam and played with them allot over the long weekend. They get along well with our dogs, but again, Clyde seems to be a little more of a stinker.

Day 6 - September 1st 2013

Bonnie & Clyde -- Back in Dallas! :)

Day 4 - August 31st, 2013

Today we decided we would step up and adopt Bonnie's running Mate Clyde. They came in together and now they will leave together. Clyde is a very energetic pup! He loves to run and play! Bonnie is doing well at the house. She loves to run and play, but when it is time to lay on the couch and watch TV, she is a very sweet girl. You have to keep an eye on this little one because she is still a puppy. She is always searching for something to get into in the house. She gets along well with the other dogs, but she is already jealous when the other dogs try to get attention from us. She really loves people! We took her over to see our neighbors and she loved to visit with them.

Day 3 - August 30th, 2013

Today I got to go to the vet. My eyes had been watering and my mommy was worried I had a bit of a cold. The nice vet gave me some medicine and eye drops to help. I feel better already. I sure don't feel sick! I love to run around the yard and play with the other dogs at the house. I like to chase the ball and throw it. I have allot of energy and love to give.

Day 2 - August 29th, 2013

Bonnie is another great addition to our family. She actually looks like a mix between all four of my dogs! Thin like Java, Expressive like Monkey, Same Ears/Chest as Jynx and a hoarder like Jumbo! She doesn't mind the crate, but would rather be out of course! She seems potty trained as well. PHEW!!!

Bonnie is about a year old and approximately 20 lbs. She is tall and thin for her size. She seems to be all leg! She hasn't barked too much yet, but it will probably come in a few days. We picked her because at the Shelter she was in with Three other dogs and we needed one great with dogs.

She was all about the dogs even when we took her outside to play at the shelter, but as soon as we brought her home, she was ALL about us. She gets along well with our dogs, but she wants to be at your side all the time! Bonnie has been a joy to watch the last two days! She does not like to swim :)

Day 1 - August 28th, 2013

We thought about the decision while we were out of town and decided after the sad end with Leah, we wanted to give the foster program another try. Today we adopted Bonnie. I will continue to blog about Bonnie to update everyone on her progress.
